What are the most common travel options to Canavieiras?
- 'Brazilian residents normally fly into Ilhéus from several airports.
- 'International clients fly into Sao Paulo (best), Rio de Janeiro or Salvador and take a connecting flight into Ilhéus.
- 'Once in Ilhéus, an approximate 2-hour drive will get you to our dock in Canavieiras.
- 'Our land-based team can indicate transfer options, or you can rent a car at the airport.

Where can I stay?
- There are several options in Canavieiras.
- On the beach, we have a hotel and 2 smaller inns that our clients have recommended.
- Most of our clients stay at inns located in the city, a few blocks from our dock.
- Our land-based team can help.

Can I bring my own tackle?
- YES!! Although we provide all the gear you will need, you are welcome to bring rods, reels, lures, and teasers.
- Some of our clients bring their gear, we are open to sharing what is being used and what has been most successful.

What do I need to bring?
- A positive and constructive attitude - This is a REQUIREMENT!!!
- Strong sunscreen
- Good sunglasses and a hat with visor
- Light clothing and rain gear

What is the usual logistics for a day of fishing?
- Usually, the trip starts between 6:00 and 7:00am and is back at the dock between 5:30 and 6:30pm.
- These times vary depending on tides and weather conditions. We need to cross a tricky and shallow cut in and out of our port.

What food and beverage are included?
- We provide sandwiches, fruit, soft drinks, and water.
- Our land-based team will do their utmost to deal with special requests, but Canavieiras is a small city with limited variety.
- Upon request, we can provide spirits and alcoholic beverages.
- Special requests and alcoholic beverages will be charged separately.

How do I reserve dates?
- Selected dates will be set aside for 5 days.
- Dates will be formally reserved upon receipt of a deposit of 50% of the total charter package.
- The balance of the package will be due the day the signed contract and before the start of the charter.
- Any special requests will be charged separately by our land-based team and paid after the final day of the charter.

What is the cancelation policy?
- Cancelations 91 days prior to the start date will be fully reimbursed.
- Cancelations between 46 and 90 days prior to the start date will receive 50% of the deposited amount.
- Cancelations during the 45 days prior to the start date will not receive a refund of the deposited amount.
- Charlote Fishing will make every effort to book the canceled dates. If partially or totally successful you will receive a proportional reimbursement consistent with the dates that were re-booked and the amount paid to Charlote Fishing.
- If a client were to decide to not go out or return early, there will not be a reimbursement(s) for that day(s).
- Any reimbursement will consider any bank/fiscal fees or commissions paid by Charlote Fishing.

What is the reimbursement policy due to adverse weather?
- Although rare, if the captain decides that for safety/weather concerns, a trip should be canceled, you will be fully the day(s).
- If possible, the day(s) can be rescheduled or the trip extended.
10.
What is the reimbursement policy due to mechanical issues on the boat?
- Our team keeps a meticulous maintenance program of both boats, but mechanical items do break-down unexpectedly.
- If the boat were not able to go out, we will offer our other boat, if available, or try to find another comparable boat in Canavieiras.
- If none of these options were available or acceptable, you will receive a full reimbursement for the days not fished or if you prefer, day(s) can be rescheduled or the trip extended.
